-
Don't Use Makeup: Avoid makeup for at least 24 to 72 hours to prevent clogging the micro-channels.
Don't Sweat Heavily: Avoid hot yoga, saunas, and intense workouts for 48–72 hours.
Don't Use Active Ingredients: Avoid anti-aging products like Retin-A, Vitamin C, and exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs) for 3-5 days.
Don't Pick or Scrub: Do not pick or peel flaking skin; let it shed naturally.
Don't Go Swimming: Avoid swimming for at least 1 week, as bacteria in pools can cause infections.
Don't Sunbathe: Avoid direct sun exposure entirely for the first few days, and minimize it for 2 weeks.
What is the treatment?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin treatment that involves the use of fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing process, leading to increased collagen and elastin production.
This treatment helps improve the texture and tone of the skin, reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines, and wrinkles, and enhance overall skin rejuvenation.
Who is it suitable for?
Microneedling is suitable for a wide range of individuals looking to improve their skin and appearance. It is particularly beneficial for those with acne scars, fine lines, uneven skin texture, hyperpigmentation, or enlarged pores. However, it is not recommended for individuals with active acne, certain skin conditions, or those who are pregnant. A consultation is necessary to determine if microneedling is the right treatment for your skin type and concerns.
Number of sessions we recommend
For optimal results, we typically recommend a course of 3-6 microneedling sessions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. The exact number of sessions will depend on your specific skin concerns and the results you wish to achieve. Some individuals may notice improvements after just one session, but a series of treatments is usually required for more significant and lasting results.
